Dances at the Lake Festival

RTDG has been performing in and around the Twin Cities since Ray relocated in 1994 and serves as artistic director. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he has extensive experience as performer, choreographer, teacher, producer and arts program administrator. Ray currently produces the Dances at the Lake Festival which is funded through the Raymond D. Terrill Charitable Fund.

Kinetic Evolutions is a modern dance company that performs virtuosic, dynamic and emotionally engaging work.

During the early years of an 18 plus year career as a professional dancer, choreographer, and instructor spanning the US & Europe, Jennifer Mack found her true love and passion is collaborating and creating dance for and with other artists of all mediums. This was the start of Open Door Project which pushes the expectations and boundaries of what dance collaboration can be with film, visual art, spoken word, opera, and live music to create audience experiences.

Anda Flamenco Company is dedicated to performing and presenting authentic traditional flamenco as it is performed in Spain. Anda Flamenco School teaches the history and the whole art of Spanish flamenco. We teach not only the dance, but all that surrounds it! We teach the music, the percussion, the singing and the hand-clapping, as well as personal stories of its creators.

Bollywood Dance Scene was formed in 2012 by Divya Maiya, Rashi Mangalick and Jinal Vakil, three dynamic Indian dancers who wanted to share their love of movement and Indian culture with their neighbors and friends.The trio took on dance choreography projects with growing scale, complexity, and team size. Their dancers have performed at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Festival of Nations and other venues. BDS is currently working on a theatrical piece that explores themes of migration.

DanceWorks Performing Arts Center was established in 1984 by Ann Proudfoot. What began as 1,200 square foot studio has expanded into a 14,000 square foot facility that includes HealthWorks, a women's fitness facility.
The primary focus of DanceWorks is to teach and nurture a love of dance through our recreational classes, competition lines, pre-school program and ballet curriculum. DanceWorks continues to inspire, motivate, and challenge all aspiring dancers in achieving their goal.

Freshwater Dance Collective was formed in 1989 to create and produce quality professional modern dance in Northeastern Minnesota through public performances and special events. The company collaborates with musicians, visual artists, writers, and other choreographers to provide the company with opportunities to present the widest possible range of choreography, music, art, and subject matter to area audiences.

YDE strives to enrich the residents of the Twin Cities and surrounding area by providing an environment of dance training and performance with emphasis on artistic, technical, and creative content. Classes include preprofessional training for the serious student and programming for the avocational and young dancer. The Ensemble inspires the general public to better understand and appreciate dance in its many forms, to preserve and promote ballet and cultural traditions.

Jawaahir Dance Company is dedicated to presenting Middle Eastern dance as a living art form at its highest artistic level, to bringing the rich folkloric heritage of the Middle East to the theater stage, and to providing education about the dance in its authentic form for dance students and the general public. In carrying out our mission, we strive to make our work culturally, financially, and physically accessible to the public.

Kayla Schiltgen is an artist and farmer practicing slow and sustainable living in Two Harbors, MN. Through movement, storytelling, humor, and improvisation she creates work that reflects how she navigates the world and finds understanding for what is occurring in her daily life. Kayla is currently exploring the themes of pace, work and community in her creating.

Duniya Drum & Dance strives to build a diverse community in support of West African drum and dance. Lead by Master Drummer Fode Bangoura Duniya is a multi cultural multi generational company performing explosive drumming and high energy dance from Guinea West Africa.

The City of Plymouth Dance Program provides education-focused, inclusive dance instruction in a community-minded environment. These dancers come from various dance backgrounds and experience levels, but all share a love of movement and excitement to showcase their work!
